    Master's Program Entrance Examination

The Master’s Programs in the Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine, Department of Integrated Health Sciences are largely conducted in Japanese.
Applicants must therefore have sufficient Japanese ability to conduct their research in Japanese.
The level of Japanese ability considered sufficient varies depending on the research field, so please consult in advance with a faculty member in your desired research field regarding your research.

  1. Application eligibility (excerpted version)
    1. Persons who have graduated from an accredited Japanese university or are expected to graduate by March 31, 2025.
    2. Persons who have completed at least 14 years of formal education in a foreign country, or are expected to complete by March 31, 2025.
    3. Persons recognized as a result of individual admission eligibility screening by the Graduate School to possess academic ability equivalent to or higher than that of a person who has graduated from an accredited Japanese university, and who will be 22 years old by March 31, 2025.
    Note: Applicants who hold (or expected to hold) three-year bachelor’s degree and/or applicants whose total period of primary, secondary and higher education is less than 14 years are required to pass the Eligibility Screening for the Examination.
  2. Student selection method
    The selection of students is based on a comprehensive evaluation of the entrance examination, oral interview, and screening of submitted documents.
  3. Entrance examination and topics covered (general admission): English, oral interview
    Note: In principle, the examination is held in Japanese.
